Lo and behold, the data from the keyboard going out on the lightning to USB adapter didn't reach the iphone because the lightning port of the HDMI adapter is only for power and the same goes to the USB 3 adapter.

I have an iphone 7 were the screen went black, so I hooked it through a lightning to HDMI to my TV and I could see the iphone unlock display but of course I could not enter the unlock code touching the glass so I plugged the lightning side of the lightning to USB 3 adapter to the lightning port of the HDMI port and a keyboard to the USB 3 port. The motherboard has the latest bios from Asus - bios 0805.I learned that the lightning port is only for power under the worst way !!! Its as simple as plugging the quarter-inch jack into any electric guitar and the USB plug to any USB port of the Xbox 360 console, PlayStation 3 or PC/MAC. I've also looked under all the other settings in Advanced and couldn't find it anywhere.ĭoes anyone know where the setting is or how to disable xHCI in the bios. Rocksmith 2014 Edition is the fastest way to learn guitar. The only options are USB legacy support, USB Keyboard and Mouse simulator, and USB single port control. I've gone into the Advanced menu of the bios, and looked under USB configuration, and there's no option to either enable/disable xHCI. However, when I go into the bios for the z370-E, there is no option to disable xHCI. These issues can happen because of a loose USB port or dust in the ports. If it has a yellow triangle on the icon, or is labled 'hocksmit' or 'USB Audio Device' then you have a bad connection or under powered USB port. But at this point, I'm willing to try anything. The cable should be listed as 'Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter' under Sound, video and game controllers. To be honest, I'm not sure if this will even work because the z370-E has two USB 2.0 ports at the rear, and I've tried both, and the cable still doesn't work. I'm no expert but from what I can tell, disabling xHCI will force the USB 3.0 ports to revert to USB 2.0. One possible solution that I haven't tried yet is to disable xHCI in the bios as apparently USB 3.0 doesn't work well with the Real Tone cable. I've also tried using a powered USB 2.0 hub - same error.

I've tried using a different USB port on the PC - each one gave the same error message. After several hours of scouring through various forums and trying many different things, I still haven't found a fix that works. So I sat here for at least three hours trying everything.

SOLVED So the real tone cable worked on the girlfriends laptop using Windows 10, drivers immediately installed, no problems. I get the dreaded code 10 error that, based on internet research, a lot of people also seem to get. Ive tried multiple USB ports - the cable is brand new and just recently ordered online via Ubisoft on Amazon. I'm trying to play Rocksmith on a PC with an Asus z370-E motherboard, but for the life of me, I can't get the PC to properly recognize the Real Tone cable that's needed to play the game.
